We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer (Design and Project Management) to join our dynamic team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for coordinating project elements, as well as ensuring the project remained within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer’s needs. Responsible for multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion of major projects.   Education: Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng), or Technology or Science Bachelor’s Degree and Honours (B.Tech Hons, B.Sc. Hons, or B.EngTech Hons)   Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience within the Consulting Engineering field.   Professional Status: Registration as a Professional Engineer or a Professional Engineering Technologist preferred. (Exceptional applicants registered as Candidate Engineers or Candidate Engineering Technologists may be considered – eligible for professional registration within 1 year of employment.)   Skills: MV and LV Reticulation and Building Services Design Project Management Contract Management (FIDIC / JBCC) OHS Act and Construction Regulations Bentley MicroStation Inspired Interfaces (Power Office, Powa Master and ReticMaster) Lighting Design Software (Relux or Dialux) MS Office Suite MS Project   Competencies Strategic Agility – Crafting a direction from Strategy. Organizational and planning ability. Exceptional communication skills.   Main Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Reticulation and Building Services Design Fully Develop designs and prepare technical documentation for electrical reticulation systems and building services. 2. Managing Projects through all ECSA Stages Oversee projects from inception to close-out, ensuring compliance with ECSA's prescribed stages and standards. 3. Task-Based Services Conduct feasibility studies, audits, and other specialised assessments as required. 4. Project Management Plan, execute, and monitor electrical engineering projects ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget 5. Contract Management Administer contracts in accordance with Condition of Contract frameworks such as FIDIC and JBCC. 6. Compliance with OHS Act and Construction Regulations Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements during project execution. 7. Technical and Software Proficiency Use tools like DigSilent PowerFactory, Bentley MicroStation, PowerOffice, PowaMaster, ReticMaster, Relux for drafting, analysis, and design. 8. Client Interaction and Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and meeting targets. 9. Documentation and Reporting Prepare detailed reports, maintain records, and provide progress updates to clients and stakeholders. 10. Business Development Identify new opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients. Prepare proposals, presentations, and bid documentation to secure new projects.
