Contract Opportunity available for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join our team on a part-time basis, supporting various Power Transmission projects across South Africa. If you’re, experienced in power generation projects, and ready for your next big challenge, this could be the perfect fit

Key skills & Preferred Experience required:

• Minimum BSc (HONS) Engineering Geology/ Geological Science

• Professional Registration (Pr.Sci.Nat.) with South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) in Earth Sciences

• Minimum 10 years’ post professional registration experience with experience in soil nominations for power line projects

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in assessing and rehabilitation on dolomite land

Additional Experience:

• Previous experience of Engineering Geology / Dolomite Land / Soil profiling for Transmission powerline projects

Key Performance Area

• Review of soil nomination

• Review of drilling data

• Dolomite Land mitigations

• Undermining analysis and mine engagements

• Quarry and Collieries engagements

• Documentation development

• Contractor engagement and training for fieldworks

• Geotechnical and geological enablement

• Site Support

Additional Requirements

• Laptop, 3G, Wi-fi, Mobile, PPE, 4 or 2x4 Vehicle for site visits, Google Earth Pro, Microsoft Suite
